Make An Appointment
Catterick Village Health Centre
We offer a combination of same-day face-to-face appointments and routine pre-bookable appointments.
To book, please call the surgery on 01748 811475 between 8:00am and 6:00pm. Our reception team will offer you the first available appointment, or help arrange a time that suits you, either face-to-face or via telephone consultation.
We also operate open morning surgeries (no appointment needed — sit and wait) on the following days:
- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at Catterick Village Health Centre
- Tuesday and Thursday at Colburn Surgery
Patients must register before 10:30am to be seen in an open morning surgery. These sessions are ideal for urgent issues that require same-day attention. Please note you may be seen by any available GP or clinician.
If you cannot attend your appointment, please inform us as soon as possible so it can be offered to another patient.
Colburn Surgery
An appointment system also operates at Colburn Surgery, alongside the open morning surgeries.
To book, please call 01748 830500 to speak with the reception team.
We also offer an online service for ordering prescriptions and booking appointments. Please contact the surgery to register for online services. Proof of identification is required.
‘Care navigation’ for our patients
A new signposting process called ‘Care Navigation’ is being introduced in our GP practice to help you see the right person, in order to get the right care, in the most appropriate place and first time.
When you next phone for an appointment to see your GP, you may be invited to share details of why you think you need to see a GP.
Please be assured that you do not have to share this information if you would prefer not to. It simply helps the practice to better understand your needs and make sure you are seeing the most appropriate professional for your care or treatment.
All our staff take patient confidentiality extremely seriously, therefore any information you share will not be shared with anyone else.
If you do not wish to give this information, you will not be denied an appointment with your GP.
If you have any concerns, please get in touch with us.
Cancelling or changing an appointment
If you can not make your appointment let us know as soon as you can so another patient can book the appointment time. You can cancel or change your appointment:

Home Visits
Requests for home visits should be made by 10:30am whenever possible and should only be made when the patient is unable to leave their home environment due to physical illness, frailty, disability, or a medical condition—even with the assistance of support, mobility aids, or transport. The patient’s condition should be such that attending the surgery would likely cause a significant deterioration in their health or wellbeing.
If you are unsure whether a home visit is appropriate, please call the surgery during opening hours for advice.
- For Catterick Village Health Centre, call 01748 811475
- For Colburn Surgery, call 01748 830500
When requesting a home visit, please provide:
- The patient's full name, date of birth, address, and telephone number
- A brief description of the problem, which will help the doctor assess the urgency of the visit
